The Coast Guard seized 50,000 yaba tablets during a drive on the Naf River near Nazirpara of Shah Porir Dwip in Teknaf here on Wednesday night.
The market value of the contraband, found in a floating sack on the river, is approximately Tk 2.5 crore, said Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon this morning.
On information, a team from the Shah Porir Dwip Outpost conducted the special operation and seized the contraband, he said, reports BSS.
Legal actions are underway, he said.
