The government of the United Kingdom has congratulated Tarique Rahman and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party on their election victory, expressing interest in deepening bilateral cooperation.
In a message issued by the British High Commission in Dhaka, London extended its congratulations to Tarique Rahman and the people of Bangladesh as the country begins a new political chapter.
The UK said it looks forward to working with the incoming government on key shared priorities, including economic growth, migration management, climate action and security cooperation.
The statement underlined Britain’s intention to remain closely engaged with Bangladesh as a longstanding development and strategic partner.
