Modi Calls Tarique, Pledges India’s Support

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a phone conversation with Tarique Rahman, congratulating him on his party’s election victory and expressing India’s readiness to work with the incoming leadership.

In a message shared after the call, Modi said he was pleased to speak with Tarique Rahman and conveyed his congratulations on what he described as a remarkable win in the Bangladesh elections.

The Indian Prime Minister also extended his best wishes, voicing support for efforts to meet the aspirations of the people of Bangladesh.

Referring to the longstanding ties between the two neighbours, Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening cooperation for peace, progress and prosperity for both countries.
