PM Inaugurates July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Wednesday inaugurated the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum, established to preserve the history and memory of the July-August 2024 mass uprising for future generations.

The inauguration ceremony began at around 9:00am at the former Ganabhaban, which has been transformed into the memorial museum. After formally opening the facility, the prime minister toured its galleries and exhibits.

The museum has been established to commemorate the July Mass Uprising and honour those who lost their lives during the movement.

The opening day has been reserved exclusively for the families of the martyrs and invited guests.

The museum will be opened to the general public from August 6 through an online ticketing system.

According to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the entry fee has been fixed at Tk50 for adults and Tk25 for children.
