Missile and drone attacks have been launched by Iran at US targets as the two sides exchanged further strikes. It follows reports that four people, including a child, were killed and dozens were injured after shrapnel from a US missile hit a home where a wedding celebration was taking place.
The US military said it was aware of the reports but that it never targeted civilians. Kuwait and Jordan said they were responding to attacks by Tehran on Wednesday morning, while strikes on Iraq and Bahrain were reported by Iranian state media. Hostilities between the US and Iran have resumed after a ceasefire agreement expired with no resolution. Last month, the US unveiled a set of sanctions - "economic D-Day" - against Iran and its trading partners. – BBC briefing
