Light to moderate rain and thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely across several parts of Bangladesh over the next 24 hours, with moderately heavy rainfall expected at some places.

According to the latest weather forecast, Khulna and Rajshahi divisions are likely to experience rain or thundershowers at many places, while a few places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions may also see rainfall.

Day and night temperatures may fall slightly across the country.

The sun is scheduled to set in Dhaka at 5:21 pm on Thursday, while sunrise on Friday is expected at 6:03 am.

However, the cyclonic storm "Arnab" has weakened after moving west-northwestwards.

It has downgraded into a land deep depression and subsequently into a land depression, now positioned over southern Chhattisgarh and adjoining southern Odisha in India.

The system is likely to move northwestwards and weaken gradually, according to the synoptic situation outlined in the forecast.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure area has formed over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining areas, reports BSS.
