Police rescued a 35-year-old man with his eyes gouged out after tying his hands and legs, from the bank of Baitkumari beel in Sadar upazila of Faridpur district on Sunday night.

The victim was identified as Delwar Hossain, son of Anwar Hossain of Madhabpur area of the upaizla.

Local people spotted Delwar in a blood soaked condition with his hands and legs tied, in the area and informed his family members who took him to a local hospital.
