Fakhrul Urges CA to Remove Biased Advisers for Govt Neutrality

Speaking at a press briefing at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office, Fakhrul stressed that the party would not accept a government that fails to maintain its impartiality.

“We demand complete neutrality from the government, especially from Professor Yunus. If any individuals are undermining this neutrality, they must be removed from the cabinet. It is crucial for the government to remain clean and fair,” Fakhrul asserted.

The BNP leader also warned that failure to act would raise doubts among the public about the government’s ability to maintain impartiality.

"We have recently seen disturbing reports about certain advisers, which have cast doubts on the government’s impartial stance," Fakhrul said.

He pointed out that some advisers, allegedly tied to political parties, are misusing government resources for partisan purposes, a clear violation of neutrality. “Government funds are being diverted to promote specific political agendas,” he added.

Fakhrul criticized the misuse of public resources, noting that government allocations for development projects, including funding for mosques and temples, seem to disproportionately benefit certain areas, suggesting political favoritism.

“These actions are eroding the impartiality of the government, and it sends a damaging message that a section of the interim government is not neutral,” Fakhrul said.

The BNP Secretary General also expressed frustration over the Chief Adviser’s failure to release a clear election roadmap, despite the upcoming December deadline. “The lack of a concrete election plan reflects political inexperience. It is unfortunate, to say the least,” Fakhrul remarked.

He emphasized that a clear roadmap would alleviate the current political crisis, allowing all political parties to focus on the electoral process and move forward with the elections in a peaceful and organized manner.
