Swapon joins as PM’s political adviser

Zahir Uddin Swapon, former information minister, has joined as political adviser to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.


He submitted his joining letter to the prime minister at the Prime Minister's Office in the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier, he resigned from the post of information minister on Friday, reports UNB.

The following day, Saturday, the Cabinet Division issued a notification appointing him as the prime minister's political adviser with the status of a minister.
