Tk 50 lakh reward for information on Hadi attackers

Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury announced a cash reward of Tk 50 lakh for anyone providing information leading to the arrest of the attackers involved in the assault on Inqilab Manch spokesperson Osman Hadi.


"We are offering a cash reward of Tk 50 lakh for information that helps bring the attackers of Osman Hadi to justice," he said.

The Home Adviser made the announcement while briefing journalists after a Core Committee meeting on law and order at the Home Ministry in the Bangladesh Secretariat today.

He said those involved in the attack would be brought under the law promptly and no one would be spared. He termed the incident an attempt to obstruct the national election.

The Adviser also said security would be ensured for frontline July warriors, adding that a committee has been formed in this regard and the committee will determine how security will be provided.

"The Interim Government is fully committed to ensuring the security of the forefront July Warriors. Special security arrangements are being taken for them by the government," he said.

He added that the government has attached topmost priority to the issue and expressed hope that the people would extend full cooperation to the government in this regard.

Osman Hadi was seriously injured by motorcycle-riding miscreants in the capital's Bijoynagar Box Culvert area on Friday. He is now undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital, reports BSS.
