Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today said the Interim Government is going to take special security arrangements for the forefront July Warriors following the terror attack on Inqilab Manch spokesperson Osman Hadi.

"The Interim Government is fully committed to ensuring the security of the forefront July Warriors. Special security arrangements are being taken for them by the government," he said.

He made the remarks while briefing newsmen after emerging from the Core Committee meeting on law and order at the Home Ministry in the Bangladesh Secretariat here.

The Home Adviser said the Interim Government, including the Home Ministry, strongly condemned the attack on Osman Hadi and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice as quickly as possible.

"We have already ordered the law enforcement agencies to bring the culprits to book. None found to be involved in the attack will be spared," he said.

He added that the government has attached topmost priority to the issue and expressed hope that the people would extend full cooperation to the government in this regard.

The Home Adviser said the government believes the attack on Osman Hadi was an attempt to thwart the forthcoming 13th parliamentary elections.

Osman Hadi was seriously injured by motorcycle-riding miscreants in the capital's Bijoynagar Box Culvert area on Friday. He is now undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital, reports BSS.
