Fire breaks out at Mirpur multistoried building

A fire broke out at a multistoried building in Mirpur-2 of the capital on Monday.


The fire broke out on the 2nd floor of the 11-storey building named LA Plaza around 1:52 pm , said Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector at the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters media cell.

On information, four firefighting units rushed to the spot and are trying to bring the fire under control.

Ten people who got stranded in a room were rescued by the Fire Service men, reports UNB. 

What caused the fire could not be known immediately.

No casualties were reported till the filing of this report.
