Rudra Chandra Sarker, a student of the Jagannath University, has died of dengue fever.



Rudra Chandra Sarker, a student of the Jagannath University, has died of dengue fever.

He died while undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Mirpur Delta Hospital early Friday.

He was a student of Anthropology Department of the university and hailed from Nageshwari upazila of Kurigram.

Chairman of the Department Prof. Dr. Sanjida Farhana confirmed the news.

According to sources, Rudra went to his village home after contracting with dengue fever on July 22 where he was undergoing treatment at a Rangpur clinic. Later, he was brought to Dhaka last Wednesday as his condition worsened.

Jagannath University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Imdadul Haque has expressed deep grief over his untimely death.
