Dengue: 2 more die; 988 new hospitalized in 24 hours

Two people died of dengue and 988 new patients were hospitalised across the country in the 24 hours until 8:00am on Saturday.


With the latest fatalities, the dengue death toll has risen to 113 in the country this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Both of the new deaths were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation area.

Since January 1 this year, a total of 41,032 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country, reports UNB.

Of them, 38,179 have been discharged after recovery.
