3 teenagers among 5 raped in Dhaka: cases filed
Five people including three teenagers have reportedly been raped in separate incidents in Khilgaon and Mugda areas of the capital.
Separate cases were filed with Khilgaon and Mugda Police Stations on Thursday.
All the victims are now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
In Mugda, Al Amin, sub-inspector of Mugda Police Station, said a complaint was lodged against Jabbar, 40, a neighbour of the 12-year-old victim on charge of violating her in the Mugda area on March 19.
In another incident, a 13-year-old girl was raped by her neighbor Pintu Chandra Das on March 18. A case was filed in this connection, reports UNB.
Both of them admitted their guilt after their arrest and they were sent to jail after being produced before the court on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a 15-year-old girl was raped by Siam, 18, in Dhaka’s Mugda area on March 18, said sub-inspector Touhidul Islam of Mugda Police Station.
Police arrested him. A case was also filed in this connection.
In Khilgaon, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by Alif Siam, 20, with a promise to marry her on February 23, Ilias Mahmud, sub-inspector of Khilgaon Police Station.
Victim’s family filed a case with Khilgaon Police Station on Wednesday.
In another incident, an 11-year-old girl was raped when she went out from her home to go to a toilet in Khilgaon area on March 19.
Police arrested Alamin, a neighbour of the victim in this connection, said sub-inspector Mosharraf Hossain.
