Israel Detains Journalists Showing War Damage Images

The Israeli and allied U.S. aggression against Iran has entered its tenth day, spreading conflict across the Middle East. As part of retaliatory strikes, Tehran has launched missiles and drones over Tel Aviv and other areas of the occupied illegal territory controlled by hardline Israeli forces.

However, little information has emerged about the actual extent of the destruction, largely due to a strict media blackout, according to analysts.

Nur Odeh, a reporter for Al Jazeera, shared insights from Ramallah in the West Bank. He said that throughout this war, military censorship has been unusually strict.

Information about where missiles and rockets fired by Iran or Hezbollah land, and how many have been launched, is under a near-total news blackout. Journalists who are deemed to reveal “too much” information on air or in live broadcasts are reportedly being detained.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that on Monday, 9 March, two people were killed near the area adjacent to Ben Gurion Airport, close to Tel Aviv.

Eyewitnesses noted that some of the Iranian-launched missiles contain cluster warheads, which break apart on impact and spread over a large area, causing extensive damage.

Emergency teams are taking considerable time to ensure that no unexploded ordnance remains in the targeted areas.
