Bigg Boss 20 Premieres Tonight With Salman Khan
The wait is finally over as India’s popular reality show Bigg Boss 20 returns to television tonight, Sunday (September 6), with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan once again taking the host’s chair.
The new season promises plenty of surprises, including new contestants, a mysterious room and revamped rules that have already generated considerable buzz.
The grand premiere of Bigg Boss 20 will begin at 9pm tonight and will be streamed live on JioHotstar. The show will also air on Colors TV at 10:30pm.
Speculation is already rife over the contestants entering the Bigg Boss house. Promos released by the makers have offered glimpses of some potential participants, with names such as Isha Rikhi, Riti Tiwari, Faisal Khan, Uditi Singh, Kushal Tanwar, Kazi Tauqeer, Yung DS and Khushi Dubey making the rounds.
Shoik Chakraborty, brother of actress Rhea Chakraborty, has also been linked to the show. Boxing star Mary Kom is another name reportedly being considered as a possible contestant.
However, the final list will only be confirmed when the contestants are officially introduced during the grand premiere.
Mysterious ‘Room No. 20’
The Bigg Boss house has also undergone a striking transformation this season. Its design is based on the concept of “duality”, with familiar objects given unusual forms and a colourful, imaginative ambience inspired by the classic fantasy tale Alice in Wonderland.
The biggest mystery in the house is “Room No. 20”, which has not yet been revealed to viewers. Its secrets are expected to unfold gradually as the show progresses, adding another layer of suspense for both contestants and viewers.
Another major talking point in the season’s promotional campaign is “Jeevan Daan”, or “extra life”. In the trailer, Salman Khan is heard teasing viewers with the phrase, “Bigg Boss mein milega meri jaan… extra Jeevan Daan.” What advantage this twist will offer contestants remains a mystery.
With new contestants, revamped rules, the mysterious Room No. 20 and Salman Khan returning as host, Bigg Boss 20 is set to begin amid high expectations from viewers.
