Smuggled goods worth Tk 9.82 lakh seized in Jessore border

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today seized smuggled goods worth around Taka 9.82 lakh in separate drives at different points along the Jashore border.

 
Patrolling teams of the Benapole ICP and Amrakhali check post under the Jashore Battalion (BGB-49) conducted the operations in the border areas this morning and seized the goods.
 
The seized goods included 54 Indian sarees, 1.5 kilograms of cumin, 23 kilograms of fuchka, 6,295 pieces of various medicines, 14 chocolates and 127 cosmetic items.
 
Jashore Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Golam Mohammad Saiful Alam Khan said the total estimated value of the seized goods is Taka 9,82,230.

The seized items were taken to BGB custody for further legal action, reports BSS.
