A tragic road accident in Chuadanga's Munnamor area left one youth dead and five others injured on Wednesday night. The crash involved a motorcycle and an easy bike.

The deceased was identified as Bipul Biswas, 18, the son of Aytal Biswas from Buropara village in Sarojganj under Chuadanga Sadar upazila.

According to Chuadanga Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khaledur Rahman, three youths were on a motorcycle, heading to Chuadanga town from Sarojganj for shopping, when their vehicle collided with an easy bike coming from the opposite direction. The collision resulted in six people sustaining injuries.

All the injured were immediately taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, where Bipul succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Out of the five survivors, two were transferred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for further treatment, while the remaining three are being treated at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. Dr. Sohrab Hossain, the emergency department head at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, confirmed that one person died shortly after the accident and that three others are in serious condition.

The body of the deceased will be handed over to the family once the legal formalities are completed, stated the OC.
