Three young men were killed as a bus crashed into their motorcycle in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur on Saturday night.

The deceased were identified as Chayan, 23, son of Enayet; Nayan, 20, son of Dalil Uddin; and Siam alias Sajib, 22, son of Azgar Sheikh, of Hasanhati village under Laskardia union in Nagarkanda upazila.

Witnesses said the bus hit the bike in the Nowapara bus stand area on the Faridpur-Bhanga-Barishal highway around 8:00pm, throwing its three riders onto the road and leaving them seriously injured.

Locals rescued them and took them to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared Chayan dead.

Nayan and Siam were initially treated at the health complex and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition, where they died while undergoing treatment.

Akhtar Hossain, an emergency department physician at Bhanga Upazila Health Complex, said one of the three was brought to the hospital dead, while two others were seriously injured, reports UNB.
