3 suffer burn injuries in Keraniganj ‘gas pipeline blast’

Keraniganj, July 11 –Three people suffered burn injuries in an apparent gas pipeline explosion in Boroitala area of Keraniganj district on Friday.

The victims were identified as Rakib, 14, Rajon, 25 and Sumon, 27.

Witnesses said the explosion occurred on Friday night at the house of one Arif Mia in the area when they were working to repair the gas pipeline, leaving them injured.

Later, they were taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 5:30 am, said Shaon Bin Rahman, Resident Medical Officer of the institute.

Among the victim, Rakib received 17 percent burn injuries. - UNB
