
The MoU was signed at the Faculty of Business Studies of the University of Dhaka by ICSB President Hossain Sadat FCS and Chairman of the DU Department of Accounting Prof. Md. Maksudur Rahman Sarker FCMA on behalf of their respective institutions.
According to an ICSB press release, the partnership aims to promote mutual cooperation in professional education, research, training, knowledge exchange, and capacity building, effectively bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice.
Speakers at the event emphasized the growing importance of academia-industry collaboration in developing future-ready professionals equipped with technical competence, ethical values, and leadership capabilities to meet the evolving demands of the corporate world.
Both institutions expressed confidence that this strategic partnership will create new avenues for collaborative efforts, promoting good corporate governance and excellence in Bangladesh.
The ceremony was attended by DU Accounting Department faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Dhiman Kumar Chowdhury, Prof. Dr. Mahfuzul Hoque, Prof. Dr. Md. Monzur Morshed, Prof. Dr. Md. Musfiqur Rahman, and Associate Prof. Ishter Mahal.
ICSB leadership was represented by Senior Vice President and Chairman of the Education Committee Md. Rafiqul Islam FCS, Vice President Md. Sharif Hasan FCS, Treasurer Md.
