China Says Trump Visit Boosted Trust With Xi

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson has said that recent meetings between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping have helped strengthen mutual understanding and improve bilateral relations.
According to statements carried by state media, the discussions during Trump’s visit promoted greater trust, expanded cooperation and contributed to global stability.
The spokesperson said the two leaders reached important consensus on addressing each other’s concerns and agreed to enhance communication and coordination on key international and regional issues.
Both sides also agreed to work under a new framework described as “constructive strategic stability,” aimed at managing differences, reducing tensions and maintaining peace between the world’s two largest economies.
