Dhaka Bank PLC. Celebrates 31st Anniversary

Dhaka, Bangladesh: Dhaka Bank celebrated its 31st anniversary through a special program

comprising a prayer ceremony (Doa Mahfil), speeches by distinguished guests, and a cake-

cutting ceremony at the Bank’s Head Office in Dhaka.

The program was attended by the Honorable Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Abdul Hai

Sarker, members of the Board of Directors, Managing Director and CEO Mr. Osman Ershad Faiz,

senior management officials, branch managers and employees of the Bank. The Bank’s

Founder, Mr. Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, who is currently undergoing medical treatment in

Malaysia, joined the event virtually through Zoom and addressed the gathering.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a welcome

address by Managing Director and CEO Mr. Osman Ershad Faiz. In his remarks, he reflected on

Dhaka Bank’s remarkable journey over the past three decades and reaffirmed the Bank’s

commitment to delivering excellence through innovation, technology, customer-centric services

and sustainable growth under its brand promise, “Transforming Together.”

Speaking at the program, the Honorable Chairman, Mr. Abdul Hai Sarker, expressed his

appreciation to the Bank’s valued customers, shareholders, regulators, employees and all

stakeholders for their unwavering trust and support throughout the Bank’s 31-year journey. He

reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to strengthening corporate governance, sustainable

banking practices, digital transformation and long-term value creation.

In his virtual address, Founder Mr. Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed shared his reflections on the

Bank’s journey from its inception to becoming one of Bangladesh’s leading private commercial

banks. He congratulated the Board, management and employees for their dedication and

encouraged them to continue serving customers with integrity, professionalism and excellence.

Several members of the Board of Directors also addressed the gathering and appreciated the

collective efforts of the Bank's employees in achieving sustained growth and strengthening

customer confidence over the years. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the

Honourable Chairman and Members of the Board of Directors of Dhaka Bank PLC, whose

participation added distinction to the occasion.

A special prayer (Doa Mahfil) was conducted seeking Almighty Allah's blessings for the

continued prosperity and success of Dhaka Bank PLC, the well-being of its customers,

shareholders and employees, and the speedy recovery and good health of Founder Mr. Mirza

Abbas Uddin Ahmed.

The celebration concluded with a ceremonial cake-cutting led by the Chairman, members of the

Board of Directors, the Managing Director and CEO and senior management officials of the bank.
