During his address, Mahfuj Alam emphasized that the website presents the events of the July Uprising in a detailed, chronological format, based on newspaper reports from that period. He expressed his gratitude to the PID team, acknowledging their efforts in creating the site. "This website provides a comprehensive overview of the media's role during the uprising," he remarked, highlighting its value for historical research.
The Adviser also encouraged those involved to upload additional materials, such as news articles about the martyrs and the injured, editorials on the movement, and video content, to further enrich the site's content.
Secretary of the Ministry, Mahbuba Farzana, described the launch as a groundbreaking initiative. "This website will serve as an invaluable resource for future generations, allowing them to better understand the history of the July Uprising," she stated.
The event was presided over by Principal Information Officer Md Nizamul Kabir.
The website organizes its content into four categories:
Scan Newspaper: Complete scanned copies of newspapers published during the uprising.
News Clippings: Clippings of articles published during the event.
Photo Album: Photographs related to the movement, sourced from various archives and newspapers.
Regional Newspapers: Scanned copies of newspapers from divisional and district levels, providing a localized perspective on the events.
This digital archive will serve as a vital resource for researchers, historians, and anyone interested in understanding the significance of the July Uprising.
