Bangladesh’s July Movement has captured international attention, landing the cover story of Mundo, a prestigious Spanish-language diplomatic magazine based in Mexico.

The latest issue of the quarterly publication highlights the student-led protests and widespread public uprising in Bangladesh, portraying it as a powerful symbol of resistance and a catalyst for change.

Nearly one-third of the 64-page issue is devoted to in-depth articles, analyses, and commentary on the movement and its broader implications. It also features an exclusive interview with Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey, Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Mexico.

On February 9, Ambassador Ansarey shared pages from the magazine on his Facebook profile, writing: “The cover story of Mexico’s prestigious diplomatic magazine Mundo, published in Spanish, captures the astonishing tale of Bangladesh’s unwavering defiance and its inspiring potential for progress.”

The magazine’s cover displays a striking image taken on August 5 in front of Bangladesh’s National Parliament, reflecting the scale and intensity of the movement.

Mundo, in publication for over 35 years, is well-regarded for its deep dives into international affairs and diplomatic narratives across the globe.
