The Bangladesh Nationalist Party has called for restraint following its victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, urging supporters to offer prayers instead of holding public celebrations.

Party Chairman Tarique Rahman has directed leaders and activists to arrange special prayers across the country after Jum’a prayers on Friday.

He also instructed party members not to organise any victory rallies, processions or gatherings anywhere in the country.

The move signals a call for calm and discipline among supporters in the aftermath of the election outcome.
