Patuakhali: BNP Central Committee Training Affair Secretary Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain said, 'The coming days will be very challenging for journalists. Because the reader wants to know objectivity and truth. If you cannot prove it, then you will not be able to survive. The media is so powerful in this era that it can shake the government of any country. It can create a turbulent situation in any country. Because the media is the third eye of the country. Sheikh Hasina may have fallen in the student movement on August 5. But journalists laid the foundation for her fall. A report shook the Sheikh Hasina government, such as the report on the construction of a resort by IGP Benazir by occupying land belonging to the Hindu community near Sheikh Hasina's house in Gopalganj. Besides, the information about the seven murders in Narayanganj on social media had put Sheikh Hasina's government in the public dock. - ABM Mosharraf said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the discussion meeting and cake cutting ceremony of the 10th founding anniversary of the Kalapara Reporters Club at the Kalapara Auditorium on Wednesday afternoon.

Chaired by Arif Sikder, convenor of the reporter's club founding Anniversary Celebration Committee, and moderated by Member Secretary Rasel Mollah, ABM Mosharraf further said, 'The media ensures the accountability and transparency of the government. Objective, transparent journalism helps in changing the country and building an inclusive society. Newspapers beautifully portray the country's problems, possibilities, irregularities, and crises. If you do not believe in free journalism and are afraid of the free flow of information, then you will not be able to build an effective social system. But people did not take the attacks on Prothom Alo and Daily Star well. '

Upazila BNP President Haji Humayun Sikder, Municipal BNP President Gazi Md. Faruk, Secretary Musa Tawhid Nannu Munshi, Upazila BNP Vice-President Jahangir Alam Talukder, Kalapara Press Club Former Secretary Advocate Gofran Biswas Palash, Television Journalist Forum Secretary Farid Uddin Bipu, etc. delivered speeches as special guests at the foundation anniversary ceremony.

Earlier, the colorful anniversary rally was held after the city parade, followed by a discussion meeting and cake cutting ceremony. At this time, the Reporters Club leaders presented crests and put on uttariyas to the chief guest and special guests. After the discussion meeting, the foundation anniversary ceremony ended with a cultural program and cake cutting. - Gofran Palash
