
BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman exchanged views with BNP leaders from Rangpur Division.
Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Saturday held a meeting with BNP leaders from Rangpur Division as part of a series of discussions aimed at strengthening the party's grassroots organisation.
The meeting took place at the BNP chairperson's political office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
"This is part of a continuing series of meetings. BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is holding these discussions to keep the party strong at the grassroots level," Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman said.
He said the Prime Minister reviewed the organisational situation at the grassroots and provided necessary directives to party leaders.
Leaders from Rangpur Metropolitan BNP and the districts of Rangpur, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Gaibandha and Lalmonirhat attended the meeting.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Organising Secretary Asadul Habib Dulu and Assistant Organising Secretary Md Abdul Khalek were also present.
Earlier, on July 20, Tarique Rahman held a similar meeting with grassroots leaders from Dinajpur, Thakurgaon and Panchagarh districts as part of the party's ongoing organisational strengthening programme.
