Govt working to implements its promise: Ziauddin

“The government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has already started implementation of it pledges such as family card, farmer card, tree planting, canal and river dredging, healthcare, and employment. He is implementing the pledges by holding meetings with various experienced individuals,” he said while speaking at a reception accorded to him by the Jhalakathi Press Club this morning.

The Jhalakathi Press Club accorded the reception to Dr. S M Ziauddin Haider on his appointment as the Prime Minister's Special Assistant for Health Affairs, reports BSS.

Ziauddin Haider further said that BNP believes in knowledge-based and development-oriented politics. “The development plans that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has undertaken across the country will become visible to the people in the shortest possible time. With the aim of delivering healthcare to the grassroots level, health centers will be established in every ward of unions and municipalities, so that people can receive uninterrupted medical services day and night,” he added. 

Addressing journalists, he said the government will not harass or control journalists using the Digital Security Act like previous governments. “Efforts will be made to develop a journalist housing project on government land to address the housing crisis of journalists in Jhalakathi,” he said.
