Shooter Belu held with firearm, ammunition

Police arrested Alamin Howladar alias Belu alias "Shooter Belu" with a locally made pipe gun and three rounds of shotgun ammunition in the city's Mirzapur area early Tuesday.
Police arrested him from a house of Amena Manzil in Bara Mirzapur around 12:30 am following a tip-off, said Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Md Shafiqul Islam.
The arrested man is the son of Akbar Howladar of the East Baniakhammar area in the city.
During the raid, police recovered a locally made pipe gun and three rounds of shotgun ammunition from his possession.
During preliminary interrogation, Belu reportedly told police that he used to carry out criminal activities at different places in exchange for money.
Police said two cases against him with Khulna police stations and one with Shahbagh Police Station in Dhaka, reports BSS.
A case has been filed against him under the Arms Act with the connecting police station, the OC added.
