Film screening, musical soiree on July songs and drone show began at Hatirjheel amphitheater this evening.

Ministry of Cultural Affairs has organized the event as part of the month-long July revival programme on the anniversary of the July Uprising.

The 18th July is being observed as Private University Resistance Day.

The programme began at 6pm with the performance of the national anthem, said an official handout.

Later, films “Heroes without Capes: Private University in July” and “You Failed to Kill Abrar Fahad” were screened.

The programmes of the event include performing songs by singers Sezan, Tashfi and Sunny and musical bands Rapper Collective and Artcell.

After performing the July songs, a drone show based on the July Uprising and the Prelude will be exhibited.

Members of the Advisory Council, secretaries and officials of various ministries, as well as a large number of students from private universities are enjoying the event, reports BSS.
