Prof. CR Abrar to be Sworn in as Education Adviser
Professor Chowdhury R. Abrar is set to take the oath of office as the new Education Adviser, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam confirmed on Tuesday. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at 11 am on Wednesday, according to Alam.
Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud currently holds the position of Education Adviser. The transition follows a series of important announcements made during a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy.
The event was attended by key figures, including Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Deputy Press Secretaries Apurba Jahangir and Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, and Assistant Press Secretary Suchismita Tithi.
Prof. Abrar, an esteemed academic, has a distinguished educational background, having completed his studies at the University of Dhaka, the University of Sussex, and Griffith University in Australia. His scholarly work has been featured in respected volumes published by Westview Press, Blackwell, Earthscan, and Macmillan India. He currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of International Relations at the University of Dhaka.
In a related development, Mahfuj Alam has been appointed as the new Information Adviser following the resignation of Nahid.
