New secretaries in 9 ministries and divisions

Dhaka, 25 Feb  -The government has given promotions to seven additional secretaries and transferred two secretaries in nine ministries and divisions.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.

The ministries and divisions include Commerce Ministry, Cultural Affairs Ministry, and Disaster Management Ministry, Planning Commission, Statistics and Informatics Division, National Parliament Secretariat, Cabinet Division, Bridges Division, and Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division.

Additional Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Division Mahbubur Rahman was made the secretary of Commerce Ministry while Additional Secretary of Housing and Public Works Division Kamal Uddin was appointed as secretary of the Cultural Affairs Ministry.

Additional Secretary of Cabinet Division Zaheda Parveen was made the secretary of the same division while Mahmudul Hossain Khan, secretary to the Cabinet Division, was transferred to the Planning Commission.

Besides, Mostafizur Rahman, who was on OSD, was promoted to the Disaster Management and Relief Ministry while Additional Secretary of Public Administration Ministry was made the secretary of Statistics and Informatics Division.

Meanwhile, Md Tajul Islam, chairman of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BTRC) was made the secretary of Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division while Md Mizanur Rahman, additional secretary of the Office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, was made the secretary of National Parliament Secretariat, and Additional Project Director of Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project was made the secretary of Bridge Division.
