OIC condemns Iran's targeting of member states with ballistic missiles

Jeddah, 28-02-2026 - The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of Iran's targeting of the sovereignty and territories of neighbouring Member States, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in an unacceptable escalation and a threat to the stability of the entire region, which carries serious repercussions on regional peace and security.

While affirming its full solidarity with these countries in the face of any aggression that affects their sovereignty, security and stability, the General Secretariat stresses that the continued violation of the sovereignty of Member States and the principles of international law represents a dangerous precedent that undermines the foundations of international relations based on good neighbourliness, mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs.

The General Secretariat reiterates its call for the immediate cessation of any escalatory actions, restraint, and a return to the dialogue table to avoid slipping into wider confrontations that may threaten the security and stability of the entire region. – OIC News
