Zahirul Islam named director of British-Bangladesh Chamber

DHAKA, Sep 9 - Zahirul Islam (CIP), Chief Commercial Officer of MH Global Group, has been elected as a Director of the British-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BBCCI). Known for his strategic business leadership and contributions to international market development, Islam's election is expected to further strengthen efforts to promote trade and business ties between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom._

Meanwhile, Captain AKM Golam Kibria (CIP), Chairman of MH Global Group, and Golam Mortuza (CIP), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the group, have been formally recognised as Lifetime Members of BBCCI.

The recognition acknowledges their longstanding contributions to business, entrepreneurship and efforts to promote economic growth and cross-border collaboration.

Under the leadership of Captain Kibria and Golam Mortuza, MH Global Group has expanded its operations across international markets, with a focus on corporate excellence, ethical governance and sustainable business growth.

Commenting on his election, Zahirul Islam said, “This is a proud moment for me personally and a significant milestone for our entire organisation. Being elected to the Board of Directors of BBCCI will provide an opportunity to contribute more actively to strengthening bilateral business relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.”

The British-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry works to promote international trade, investment and strategic partnerships between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.
