Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan has called on citizens to embrace environmental consciousness while celebrating the joyous festival.
In her heartfelt message of goodwill, Rizwana reflected on the significance of Eid-ul-Fitr following a month of self-discipline and reflection. She highlighted that the festival brings a powerful message of joy, compassion, and unity, and emphasized the importance of extending this spirit to nature.
As millions of Bangladeshis join Saudi Arabia in marking Eid, Rizwana urged everyone to celebrate not just with family and friends, but also by demonstrating respect and care for the environment.
“Let this Eid be an opportunity to give back to nature,” Rizwana stated. She encouraged citizens to celebrate responsibly by avoiding littering, reducing water wastage, and incorporating eco-friendly practices into their festivities.
Additionally, she appealed to those in a position to help, urging them to reach out to marginalized communities, especially in rural areas, to extend support.
In the spirit of this, Rizwana also highlighted initiatives like the ‘Ek Takar Eid Bazar,’ which aims to bring joy to underprivileged communities in Gaibandha.
Concluding her message, Rizwana wished peace, prosperity, and well-being to all, expressing her hope for a safe, joyful, and environmentally conscious Eid celebration.
