The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for Wednesday under the Chattogram Education Board have been postponed due to the worsening flood situation in the region.
The decision was announced on Tuesday in a notice issued by the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and signed by its chairman, Prof Syed Akhtaruzzaman.
The postponement applies to all districts under the Chattogram Education Board, where flooding has disrupted normal life and raised concerns over the safety of students and examination arrangements.
However, the committee said HSC and equivalent examinations under all other education boards across the country will be held as scheduled.
A revised date for the postponed examinations will be announced later, according to the notice.
