The Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway is also witnessing a heavy traffic jam Wednesday

The Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway is also witnessing a heavy traffic jam Wednesday.
The traffic has come to a near standstill as many holes have created, and roads have been damaged due to heavy rainfall of Cyclone Sitrang.
Road repair works, construction of the metro rail and Dhaka Elevated Expressway projects, have worsened the situation and added to the commuters’ woes.
On Monday and Tuesday, commuters, especially those taking the Airport Road, suffered the most as many reported sitting in traffic for long hours.
Deputy Commissioner (Traffic) of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Alamgir Hossain said steps have been taken, and we are working to keep the traffic normal and reduce sufferings of the commuters.
