59 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24 hrs

Fifty Nine dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.


"During the period, 35 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, six in Chattogram, one in Dhaka division, one in Dhaka North and 16 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka South," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today.

The total number of case rose to 4,904, while 23 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Besides, 53 dengue patients were released from different hospitals in the last 24 hours, reports BSS. 

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
