The meeting was conducted in a warm and cordial atmosphere, said Jamaat-e-Islami central publicity department.
Jamaat delegation also include central executive council members Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand and Mobarok Hossain, central women's wing assistant secretary Saiyeda Rumman, Women wing's secretary for human resources, law, and human rights Advocate Sabikunnahar Munni and Dhaka South City assistant secretary Dr Shahana Parvin.
During the meeting, discussions covered Bangladesh's current political situation, the upcoming national election, overall business and trade progress, particularly in garments, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, education, and economic development.
Both parties also exchanged views on how the United Kingdom could play a role
in increasing investment in Bangladesh and strengthening bilateral relations.
The discussion further highlighted the important role of women in Bangladesh's economic development, especially in handicrafts and cottage industries, and explored opportunities to increase women's participation and
skill development with the support and involvement of the UK.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed optimism about further strengthening cooperation, development, and progress between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom in the future, reports BSS.
