A 51-member delegation from the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur, led by Captain M. I. Sharif  visited the Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu as part of their overseas study tour.

Ambassador Md. Shafiqur Rahman welcomed the delegation members in Nepal and shared his insights and observations on the Nepal-Bangladesh diplomatic engagements, said a press release issued on Monday.

Mohammad Humayun Kabir, First Secretary (Trade Promotion and Culture), also briefed them on the trade scenario between the countries.

Later, Dr. Pramod Jaiswal, Research Director, Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement, a prominent think tank of Nepal, held a discussion session on 'Nepal's foreign policy and its relationship with Bangladesh'.

The course participants were quite keen and delighted to learn about the strategic outlook of Nepal and Bangladesh diplomatic relationship, reports UNB.
