At the invitation of the GAN President, Ambassador Rahman attended the inaugural session of the 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the association, held at a local hotel in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
The Ambassador received a warm welcome at the event, which provided him the opportunity to engage with leading RMG businesses and exporters from Nepal.
Bangladesh envoy meets Nepali RMG leaders to explore collaboration opportunities
On the sidelines of the event, Ambassador Rahman held discussions with exporters on the prospects and challenges of Nepal’s RMG exports to the United States, particularly in light of the evolving tariff landscape.
The talks also explored opportunities for potential collaboration between Bangladesh and Nepal in the RMG sector—specifically in areas such as capacity building and sharing of expertise, reports UNB.
The event was graced by the Hon’ble Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies as the Chief Guest and brought together senior representatives from major business bodies, including the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), Nepal Foreign Trade Association (NFTA), and the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries (FNCSI).
