Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen has said China is ready to strengthen cooperation with all political parties in Bangladesh, highlighting Beijing’s interest in expanding inter-party exchanges and youth cooperation.

He made the remarks on Thursday when members of the newly formed International Relations Sub-Committee of the National Citizen Party (NCP) met him at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.

The meeting focused on Bangladesh-China relations, inter-party exchanges, youth cooperation, regional developments and other issues of mutual interest.

Yao congratulated the NCP on establishing its International Relations Sub-Committee and expressed hope that it would contribute to friendly exchanges between Bangladesh and China.

The ambassador said China is willing to work with all friendly political parties in Bangladesh to deepen cooperation and promote stronger ties between the two countries. China has also previously expressed its readiness to engage with political parties across Bangladesh.

NCP spokesperson and International Relations Sub-Committee Chairman Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan said the party is ready to work with China to deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries’ political parties and younger generations.

The two sides also stressed the importance of continued diplomatic engagement, mutual respect and cooperation for regional stability and shared development.
