India has announced the resumption of tourist visas for Bangladeshi citizens as part of efforts to normalise bilateral relations.

New Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi made the announcement on Thursday at a press conference held at the Indian Visa Application Centre in Dhaka.

He said visa services will be provided through five centres across the country—Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram, Sylhet and Khulna.

Earlier, Dinesh Trivedi presented his credentials to President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban, reports UNB.
