Bangladesh, EU sign PCA to deepen bilateral ties

Bangladesh and the European Union (EU) have signed the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) aimed at strengthening comprehensive bilateral engagement across multiple sectors. 


Secretary (East and West) of the foreign ministry Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam and Deputy Managing Director (Asia & Pacific) of the European Union Paola Pampaloni signed the agreement from their respective side at a function in Brussels, a message received here today said.

Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir, and High Representative and Vice President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas were present.

The PCA is expected to provide a structured framework for enhancing cooperation between Bangladesh and the European Union in areas of mutual interests, reports BSS.
