Dhaka, 18 Aug  - Bangladesh batter Jaker Ali Anik believes they will be able to improve his power-hitting under the guidance of Julian Wood.

Wood, a former English all-rounder and globally recognized power-hitting coach, has been contracted for 28 days to assist Bangladesh players in enhancing their power-hitting skills. Having worked with the team for several days, he has already shown encouraging early results.

Asked about visible improvements in a few days, Jaker said, "It would not be right to comment at this stage. It will take more time to understand what has improved and what has not."

"But we are trying to follow the tasks he has given us. The bat swing practices and different drills will definitely come in handy."

Wood introduced a special equipment called the ProVelocity Bat, which helps cricketers improve bat speed and hand-eye coordination. It also produces a sound when swung, indicating the power of the shot. Some videos of his practice have already gone viral on social media.BSS
