BCB announces Bangladesh A squad for first two NZ one-day

Dhaka, 4 May- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced the squad for the first two one-day matches against visiting New Zealand A.

Nurul Hasan Sohan was appointed the captain for the side in the first two matches that saw a flurry of cricketers who did well in the domestic circuits.

Anamul Haque Bijoy, who recently made his come back to the Test side in the Chattogram Test against Zimbabwe, made a room in the side.

Mosaddek Hossain Saikat also found his place after leading Abahani Limited to the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) title this season.

Pacer Ebadot Hossain, who has not played for the national team since his lengthy layoff post-injury, was also picked for the first two games. The selectors brought back pacers Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam to show their one-day credential once again.

In their month long tour, New Zealand A will play three one-dayers and two four-day matches against the second string Bangladesh side.

The one-day series and first four-day game will be held in Sylhet International Cricket Stadium while the series-ending second four-day game will be taken place at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

The one-day matches are slated for May 5, 7 and 10 while the first four-day game is on May 14-17. The second and final four-day game will be held from May 21-24.

New Zealand A also announced a 14-member squad for the tour with Nick Kelly leading the side.

New Zealand A: Ryys Mariu, Curtis Heaphy, Matt Boyle, Mohammad Abbas, Nick Kelly, Joe Carter, Mitch Hay, Zak Foulkes, Adi Ashok, Jayden Lennox, Dean Foxcroft, Ben Lister, Kristian Clarke, Josh Clarkson.BSS
