Dhaka, 22 Feb - Holders Bashundhara Kings made winning start in the second-leg of Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football beating Chittagong Abahani Limited by 2-0 goals held at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Saturday.
In the day's match, forward Foysal Ahmed Fahim and Brazilian midfielder
Miguel Figueira scored one goal apiece for Kings, which led the first half by
2-0 goals.
Fahim put Kings ahead scoring the first goal in the 20th minute while Miguel
doubled the lead scoring the second goal for Kings in the 30th minute of the
match.
After the resumption, Kings, however, got several scoring chances to increase
the margin further but failed to score any lacks of proper finishing.
The day's win saw, Bashundhara, standing third position in the league table,
raised their tally to 20 points from 10 matches while the port city team
Chittagong Abahani Limited remained bottom of the table with three points
playing the same number of outings.
Earlier, in the first leg, the defending champions Kings thrashed Chittagong
Abahani Limited by 7-0 goals held at Bashundhara Kings Arena.
