Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh by 13 runs in the second one-day international on Wednesday to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Chasing 248, Bangladesh were bowled out for 234 after slipping from 113 for 2.

After Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz won the toss and chose to field, Zimbabwe were reduced to 18 for 3 before Ben Curran rebuilt the innings.

Taskin Ahmed bowled Brian Bennett for a duck in the opening over and later dismissed Innocent Kaia. Nahid Rana then bowled Craig Ervine with a yorker.

Curran added 34 with Wessly Madhevere before Mehidy broke the partnership. He later removed Sikandar Raza for 33 after the pair had put on 69 runs for the fifth wicket.

Curran went on to score 111 not out from 135 balls, his second ODI century. Brad Evans made 58 from 38 balls, including 22 runs from Taskin's final over, as Zimbabwe finished on 247.

Bangladesh lost Soumya Sarkar early when he edged Blessing Muzarabani to slip, and Najmul Hossain Shanto was dismissed for 9.

Tanzid Hasan and Towhid Hridoy added 84 for the third wicket to revive the chase. Tanzid made 51 before being bowled by part-time spinner Brian Bennett.

Hridoy scored 50, but Bangladesh then lost wickets regularly. Mosaddek Hossain was dismissed for 7, Miraz followed, and Rishad Hossain fell with 29 runs needed from 27 balls.

Nurul Hasan made 31 from 44 balls before Bangladesh were all out for 234.

Zimbabwe won the opening match by 25 runs and secured the series with one game remaining, reports UNB.
